Ani Jangchub Dolma

Ani Jangchub Dolma is from Solukhumbu, Nepal, a Sherpa district in the Himalayas and is one of six siblings in a family that farms potatoes, corn and barley. The family had some difficulties and sickness prevented her from continuing with school. She remained sick a lot with an ailment like epilepsy, but would help her mother when she was well enough. Ani Jangchub Dolma has now been able to have western medicine and is being helped by a hospital that is near Tek Chok Ling. She says she still gets sick sometimes but is a lot better than when she was home. She likes drawing and is an active participant in learning to draw mandalas. She also likes studying English and Tibetan.
