Ani Namney Lhamo
I am Namney Lhamo, a name bestowed upon me by my root Lama, Khenchen Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche. I feel incredibly blessed to have such a unique and meaningful name. I was born in 2008 in Dolpa village, located in the Karnali district. Currently, I am a grade 7 student at Shree Mangal Dvip Boarding School (SMD). I am the third child in my family, which consists of my mom, three sisters, one younger brother, and myself. I joined Tek Chok Ling Nunnery in the second-to-last month of 2016, and in 2017, I got the chance to attend SMD.
I am very grateful that I have the opportunity to study both Buddhism and modern education as a nun. Education has always played a significant role in my life. Looking ahead, I have set ambitions to become a translator and writer for future goals. With continued support in this field, I am confident that I will be able to pursue these goals and make a positive impact in my community. I express deep gratitude to our root guru, Khenchen Tsultrim Rinpoche, and all the sponsors.
