Ani Samten Zangmo

Ani Samten Zangmo was born in 1964 and became a nun when she was 14 years old. She lived in Yolmo, in Nepal, for several years and helped establish Khenpo Rinpoche’s nunnery and retreat center there. Her responsibilities included taking care of the 20 or so new nuns as well as taking care of the older nuns who were in 3-year retreat there. She also helped some Western students to learn Tibetan. Today she is in Bhutan. Unfortunately, she has been bedridden for few years due to her health conditions. Two nuns take turn to take care of all her needs every day. She continues to practice as much as she can despite her condition.
