Ani Pasang Lhamo
My name is Pasang Lhamo and I come from the Dolpa district of Nepal. I was born on the 25th of December 2004 in a village called Chharka in Dolpa. I am fortunate to have a large family, consisting of 3 elder sisters, 4 elder brothers, 1 younger sister, and a younger brother. In the year 2008, my parents, along with some villagers, embarked on a journey from our village to Kathmandu, mostly on foot. This was a challenging experience for me, as I was still a child and I vividly remember riding a horse in some parts of the journey. I hold those memories close to my heart. Three months later, I joined Tek Chok Ling Nunnery, where I was the youngest member. I received immense love and support from everyone there. After 4 years, I was among 9 other nuns who joined SMD school, also known as Shree Mangal Dvip Boarding School. This school was founded by the highly revered Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche in 1987. I have a passion for reading books, singing dohas composed by Rinpoche, and practicing lujong exercises. It has been almost 9 years since I joined SMD school, but I have recently made the difficult decision to leave my studies at grade 9. I feel immense gratitude and appreciation towards my Vajradhara Guru Khenchen Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche. Currently, in mornings time, I am teaching some young nuns and assisting them in their studies.
