Ani Ugyen Lhamo

Ani Ugyen Lhamo is from Mongar Chili, Bhutan. She has eight siblings, five sisters and three brothers. She has studied up to class eight in the government school. When asked why she decided to be a nun; she said that she believes that if she practices dharma it will benefit her in this life and in the next life. With this kind of benefit, she feels she will be able to help others. She feels that if she practices dharma she will be independent and self-dependent. After her studies she would like to serve the nunnery in whatever way she can.
