Ani Yangchen Palmo

My name is Yangchen Palmo. I was born on 25th May 2008 in the village of Khaling, Trashigang. I studied through grade 7 in the government school. There are 5 in my family: my mother, elder brother, grandfather, grandmother and me. My mother’s name is Pema Wangmo. She works in the fields and looks after my grandparents. My father and mother divorced when I was young. I love to play. I had many friends in my village school. I joined the nunnery on 4th February 2023. I found many friends here and some are my cousins. I am also learning to speak Tibetan. In the future, I hope to complete the shedra and become a good teacher. I am happy to be a nun.
