Desire and Anger Self-Liberated: A Profound Oral Instruction
This life's like a dream and illusion. For those who don't realize this, have compassion. If you realize this, train in rigpa's display. E Ma! The dharma! Sublime and amazing! (1)
For yogins who realize this, The array of forms is dharmakāya. All ranges of sound are sound-emptiness. The variety of thoughts is rigpa's display. E Ma! The dharma! Sublime and amazing! (2)
When you know that thoughts are illusions, You can take thoughts of desire and anger as friends. No matter what thoughts of desire and anger arise, If you turn them into helpers, that's the profound path. E Ma! The dharma! Sublime and amazing! (3)
When you know the key point of desire and anger self-liberated, Both desire and anger shine as helpers. Both desire and anger are worn as ornaments. E Ma! The dharma! Sublime and amazing! (4)
When you're confident that even harmful enemies Are really friends who help you, Then anger toward enemies And attachment to friends Are desire and anger self-liberated-E Ma Ho! (5)
When you realize equality's meaning like this, Confused appearances are self-liberated-how amazing! Confusion itself is self-liberated-how amazing! Confusion's ground is self-liberated-how amazing! E Ma! The dharma! Sublime and amazing! (6)
Confusion and liberation don't exist In the true nature, the natural state. So cultivate stable certainty in the key point Of desire and anger, self-arisen and self-liberated. (7)
These are the profound, key instructions On desire and anger self-liberated. For the benefit of self and other, Study, contemplate, and meditate upon them always. (8)
These brief, profound instructions on the definitive meaning were written by Dechen Rangdrol so that fortunate students could understand them easily and practice them readily.
Sarva Mangalam! Gelek Phel-may virtue and goodness increase!
