The Progressive Stages of Meditation on Emptiness IV Mind-Only:
Conduct & Fruition |
Conduct
Just as with a dream, to cling as real to the dualistic appearances Of apprehender and apprehended is confusion. Knowing this, while recalling with certainty the view of emptiness of duality, Engage in all activities: eating, sleeping, walking or sitting.
Fruition
When dharmata, empty of duality, is realized directly, The confusion of dualistic appearances will gradually dissolve. It is said that when non-dual dharmadhatu manifests, Perfect enlightenment is attained. |
At the Dzogchen Palace of Appearance-Emptiness, Sherab Lodro [Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche] spoke this extemporaneously, whereupon Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche immediately wrote it down.
Translated under the direction of Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche by Tyler Dewar of the Nitartha Translation Network, 2002.
